BAY COUNTY RED rolls on...

Bay County Red advances into the Bracket Championship Game tonight, August 13. Game time is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. Bay County Red defeated Washington County in a thriller by the score of 5-4 in the Monday contest.

BC Red got out to a 2-run lead early. Washington County took the lead in the third inning 3-2. Bay County Red came back to tie it up 3-3. Washington County pushed another run across to make it 4-3 game.

Bay County took the lead back in the bottom of the sixth inning 5-4. The top of the seventh saw Washington County put runners on first and second. Bay County Red then ended the inning by forcing Washington County to strand two runners on base.

The win moves Bay County Red into the Division Championship and will take on the winner of the Simi Valley, California and Washington County winner. That game is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. today.
